The Guilford and District Horticultural Society (GDHS) is hosting a presentation by the Ontario Puma Foundation on Monday September 12, 7:30 p.m. at Churchill Community Centre (6322 Yonge St.)
These large wild cats are also known as a mountain lion or cougar. Once hunted almost to extinction, they are now making a come back but are still on the endangered list. The Ontario Puma Foundation was established to help restore the puma to a healthy population through the preservation and recovery of its habitat. The Foundation tracks and maps sightings of the puma in Ontario. You may be surprised by the number and locations. Come find out more about this remarkable wild life.
Everyone is welcome. The evening also includes a plant and bake sale.
