Innisfil’s strategic plan, Inspiring Innisfil, set itself some significant “big picture” objectives to encourage more business investment, create more local employment, build a commercial core and focus on tourism assets as a driver of economic activity.
Too often, Innisfil has been perceived as just part of the route to points further north, and less as a destination. The Town is taking a step this month to address that lack of awareness with the publication of a 5 page feature article about Innisfil in the February issue of Ontario Construction Report. Paper copies are being delivered to 10,000 readers later this month. A digital copy of the magazine issue is already posted on line. Over the next few months, it may be viewed by up to 75,000 online subscribers world-wide. Readers include government officials, industry executives, real estate professionals and developers, commercial and residential contractors, trades, and legal, accounting and insurance service providers.
The colour feature describes Innisfil’s strategic plan, discusses the rationale for the new Development Department, Innisfil’s strategic business location, local success stories, current initiatives such as the Innisafil Beach Road urbanization, master servicing plan and the comprehensive zoning review, new homes development and the Big Bay Point Resort as well as cultural, heritage and health objectives.
