Innisfil Council will consider revisions to its policy on where to locate cell towers. A Public Information Session is being held this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. (July 10). Officials in the health and communications fields will address land use considerations and answer questions. An earlier proposal to locate a tower on the edge of Innisfil Beach Park met with objections from the public. If you have a concern about cell towers or an issue with cellular communications in Innisfil, try to attend.
The Council meeting following afterward at 7:15 p.m. will also consider the Draft Comprehensive Zoning Bylaw. The final version of this bylaw will define the framework for development within Innisfil for years to come and affects all classes of land use from shoreline to agricultural.
