Organizers have received the necessary approvals to proceed with the creation of a community garden to be located at Knock School, located at Huronia Rd and the 9th Line. The garden will consist of 20 garden plots approximately 4 ft by 8 ft and another 4 spots raised 2 feet for users with a disability.
Registration to obtain a plot takes place onsite at 7:00 p.m. on Friday May 23. There will be a short orientation meeting at 7:30 p.m. A work day follows immediately on Saturday, May 24 beginning at 8:00 a.m. to prepare the garden plots for use. Volunteers are welcome to come and help out with this phase. (Students are eligible to earn volunteer hours.)
